Hello, Arch.Marco Ferreri! An Argentine writer fellow, Angela Pradelli, was in Faraneto recently and while observing the Castle, a car with a lady and two young men arrived. They talked and the lady said her name was Plante (like mine) and that she, her brothers, sisters, and cousins had grown up in the Castle, that the Plantes had been around the area for ages. Angie Pradelli also visited the Coli cemetery and discovered that the name Plante reappered in some old tombstones.
My family comes from Ireland (Athlone) where a few relatives still live in the Village of Glasson. As far as I know the name can be traced back to the XIII century with roots in England, France, Germany, but there are no evidence of family branches in Italy, Do you maybe know anything about this? I’m curious about the possibility of a family foot in Italy.
By the way, only a month ago one of my books was translated and published in Italian by La Nuova Frontiera under the title Senza Macchia Apparente.
Best regards to your Argentine wife!
